High School Band

Students in High School ensembles are begin to explore topics outside of just individual/ensemble musicianship and begin working on leadership and life skills.  Students participate in our music mentoring program which is led by the Tri-M Music Honor Society.  In this program HS students stay after school twice a month and work with middle school students on anything they might need help with.  We have seen great growth because of this program with both MS achievement and HS culture.  Many students have found a strong sense of pride in their ability to have an impact on their MS counterparts.  Wind Ensemble students are required to particiapte in Solo and Ensmeble and students in Symphonic Band are highly encourage to participate.  Solo and Ensemble offers a chance for high level musicians to challenge themselves and also affords students the time to truly focus on their individual sound and musical choices.
